Hello, as part of my personal development, I’ve been reading a few books about refunds related to brands like Nike, Apple, etc. However, there’s one question that hasn’t been addressed in any of the books.
If you request a refund for an Apple product, claiming that it didn’t arrive, and the refund is successfully approved, is there a way for Apple to detect that the product has actually been activated or used? Could someone explain this in more detail? Thank you for any response!

Apple more than likely could check if a device has been activated but if they've already issued a refund it's unlikely they would
